7MUST DOs IF YOU HAVE ONLY 5 DAYS IN MALAYSIA

1. Petronas Twin Tower

Wikipedia/Timsdad

So, you came to Malaysia, and you definitely don’t wanna miss out the Twin Towers on your itinerary. You can ask someone "have you been to Petronas Twin Tower?" instead of "have you been to Malaysia?" Do you get what I mean? Come here, take a couple selfies (or wefies), sit and enjoy the beautiful architectures that the twin towers could offer.

2. Food

As a multiracial and multicultural country, no doubt there will be all sorts of different delicacies one could find in Malaysia. From road stalls to high-end restaurants, sweet to spicy, you will just want to eat till you drop at this foodie heaven!

Food to try out for:
Last but not least, DURIAN!

3. Beaches

Weather is probably the top factor that foreigners choose Malaysia, especially those who plan to escape the winter in their home country. With summer all year long, despite occasional monsoon season and rainy days, Malaysia (and maybe some other neighboring countries) might be one of the best places to go sunbathing or just relax your mind.

So, which are the best?
Langkawi Island, Tioman Island, Redang Island, Simpadan Island (beware for pirates etc though).

4. The Highlands

Cameron Highlands

Thinking of escaping from the humid hot weather on ground lands? Then, you should take a turn or two at a few famous highlands in Malaysia which are Genting Highlands, Cameron Highlands, Bukit Tinggi.
Genting - known for its theme park and having the largest casino in the whole Malaysia.
Cameron Highlands - famous for its tea fields and popular spots for photography enthusiasts.
Bukit Tinggi - better known for its Japanese and French Villages.

5. Tourists hot spots

Interesting stuffs always attract tourists. Just like anywhere in the world, Malaysia too have some very interesting spots for foreign travelers.
Penang mural – Approximately 6 months ago, locals kept posting pictures of these classic paintings on the walls and finally its popularity boomed after they were filmed in the Hong Kong drama “Outbound Love”.
Malacca – A place for historians who love ancient relics and architectures that were left by the Portugese.
Sekinchan – Famous for its paddy fields and beach.

6. Shopping Malls

Unlike Seoul or Tokyo where there are many sightseeing spots one could find around the city. However in Malaysia, you won’t be able to find many interesting places but you can definitely find shopping malls easily all over especially in the Klang Valley area.
Popular shopping malls to visit?

7. Mount Kinabalu

Want a different kind of retreat? If you have a fit body (as in healthy) with lots of stamina and enjoy hiking, you’ll not want to miss the one and only Mount Kinabalu, located in the Eastern Malaysia. Outside KL, this is the classic tourism spot in Malaysia.

8 MOST EXOTIC, BIZARRE AND WACKIEST BARS AND RESTAURANTS IN TOKYO

Enough of Sushi and shrines! Sushi places are all over the world like the one in your town, and you've seen enough shrines and temples from TV. What you really got to do this time in Japan is to enjoy the island’s exotic night life. The birth place of AVs and Karaoke has exceptionally exotic night culture. Here are 8 wackiest bars and restaurants you really gotta go.

1. Kayabukiya Tavern: Perfect service from the monkey staffs

Though it looks like a perfectly normal pub from outside, it's is way cooler. Here, the mascot monkey staffs take your order and get you what you want, and they even join your table and entertain you when they feel like it. Monkey staffs also perform shows at the pub, and it's super Kawaii

2. Icebar

This below zero temperature bar has everything made with ice from bar and walls to glasses. It’s freezing but since 3,500 Yen cover charge includes not only a complimentary drink but also thermal jacket rental, don't worry about being frozen to death.

3. Penguin bar

It’s not surprising see cafes with dogs and cats these days, but you can't have heard of a bar with penguins. It's indeed exotic and worth a visit if you are penguin lovers. However those cuddly friends are just kept in an aquarium placed at one corner and it's not like penguins joining your table and drinking with you.

4. Vowz: Run by serious Buddhist monks

Buddhist monks opened a bar to meet and relieve mankind living in a secular world in the belief that patrons feel less constrained in a place like bar. Bartenders are serious monks, not just costumed ones, and they serve religious chants and sermons and good cocktails. So why don’t you take a spiritual short break and have your soul cleansed here while in Tokyo?

5. Vibe Bar: The essence of sex toys

In terms of adult industry, no country is a match for Japan, and the Vibe Bar is the one example. Located at the center of Tokyo, this adult toy themed bar with hundreds of sex toys is an absolute must-visit. Unfortunately, this perfect place for horny souls doesn't welcome one with penis unless he doesn't bring their girl friends with.

6. Lock up: Drinks in a prison!

I guess this jail-themed bar has been introduced numerous times by various media. Though I have no experience of imprisonment, everything from the jail cells where you will be sitting to cocktails seemed very realistic and spooky. We see more and more horror-themed bars in Tokyo such as Vampire, but Lock up is the classic.

7. Robot Restaurant: Not much of robots but girls

How about a robot show with lots of sexy babes in leather bikinis? You will not see anything like this outside of Tokyo. Though, in this show, sexy babes take much important roles than robots, robots are pretty sexy too. Can't quite catch what it is? Just click and check out the video.

8. Ninja Akasaka: Experience Ninja tricks

WHY I LOVE KOREA

1. Cracked Out Soju Pigeons

Korea’s known for its vibrant drinking culture. They claim they can drink all night because they do so while eating and playing games. There seems to be a hole in this philosophy: namely, the unconscious people and piles of upchuck (or “pigeon breakfast”) I step over on my way to work in the morning. Party-going pigeons love to feast on these soju-soaked puddles of vomit until they’re wasted, twitchy, and slamming into walls.

2. Ajummas

2a. The Ajumma Scrub-down

3. Sensitive Men

4. Dong Chim!

5. The Best Food You’ve Never Heard Of:

6. Beach Season

7. Hiking

8. Fan Death

9. Toasty Floors

10. Table Doorbells

11. The Molessage

THE 5 SINGAPORE FOOD WE MISS MOST WHEN OVERSEAS

We have such an amazing variety of food in Singapore. Our "fast food" (hawker food) beats any multinational chain any time. When I travel, especially beyond Asia, I love exploring the local cuisines, but sometimes find that I end up craving the food that I take for granted back home.

So what are dishes you miss most when overseas? Here are five of mine, along with a couple of suggested places to dash to when the craving hits. There are so many good places. If you have a favourite or hidden gem to recommend, let me know too!
